Getting ready for The Treat of the Week

I know. I know. You're wondering... where is my treat of the week?

I promise to have that ready for you tomorrow, but before you make it, I thought it might be a good idea to revisit our essential post on pie crust from scratch.

As you might have guessed, our treat of the week comes in a pie shell.  I can't even tell you how much I love pie.  This is the crust recipe I use nearly every time for sweet and savory pies.  It comes out perfectly every time.

If you are new to making pie crusts, I strongly encourage you to read the instructions fully before beginning, follow the steps to the letter, and use super cold ingredients.  If you do these things, you will be rewarded with flaky, buttery pie crust.  Once you've mastered it, you will be putting everything in a pie shell.
