Today's Nest at HGTV Gardens

The holiday season is nearly over, but the inspiration continues. I've got 7 projects for you that I created for HGTVGardens. You may not be able to use all of them for this year, but do tuck them away for next year.

The moss balls are a great project for you to do during the dreary winter months to add some color to your decor... and the cranberry pecan tart? Well, that can still be made while fresh cranberries are around - no holiday necessary. It is SO delicious you are going to want to add it to your regular holiday menu.

The Gingerbread Potting Shed includes a template and step by step instructions for creating this look. It's way simpler than it appears.

The Glitter Branches are on display in my home now and will stay up until after January 1st. They say winter and they are super easy to make (the trick is to add the glitter while the spray paint is still wet).

The Hanukkah Table Setting is fairly specific and a little late for this year, but some of the ideas are good for any occasion. You can't go wrong with short stemmed hydrangea blooms in a mini trifle dish.

I think my favorite (non-food, non-cranberry pecan tart) project this season was the pine cone tree. It was a little time consuming, but I love the result. This cheerful little soldier stands post in the foyer and makes it very clear to visitors that the winter season is upon us.

Stay tuned over the next week as we wrap up 2014 and get ready for an exciting new year!
