Weekend Wrap Up

Welcome back! I hope your week was as wonderful as mine. The boys were home for Spring Break so there was plenty of fun and laughter... and sleeping. Wow, teens sleep a lot! In between, I managed to get a little work done and plenty of research for upcoming projects. I have some very cool DIY projects planned for April. I can't wait to share them with you.

As usual, I've gathered a few of my favorite things from the week. In truth, I was absolutely obsessed with a few. For example, I cannot get enough octopus right now. I may be becoming a merman. I think I'm just ready for the spring/summer to finally get here so we can get onto brunches and al fresco dining. That might also explain some of the other stuff I loved, too.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

1  Cabana Geometric Pillow - from Pier 1. I am anxious to revive the patio. I have been assembling some inspiration for the new look. I just kept coming back to this outdoor summer pillow. It comes in many colors, but I'm stuck on this one. Ah! the power of throw pillows.

2 Marfa, TX - from LUSTER. I am planning a weekend road trip with the boys. I have planned to visit Marfa since I moved to Dallas, but never made it. I am about to remedy that. While you are checking out this article on Marfa, be sure to have a look around LUSTER. There is so much to love there.

3 Octopus Salad - from Fruits De Mer. Many americans are missing out on the deliciousness that is octopus. I made octopus ceviche this week to eat with the Orange and Olive Salad. It was a table full of summer. The octopus salad shown here is available in supermarkets around the country, including many Whole Foods stores.

4 Verner Panton Egg Cups - from Blend Store. While I was working on the graphic for Boiling Eggs, I stumbled upon these egg cups. If you like soft boiled eggs and modern design, these are for you. Truthfully, I don't eat soft boiled eggs very often, but I must still have them.

5 Galvanized Wash Tubs - on eBay. I cannot express how badly I want one of these. I am seeing beverage station for summer parties, apple bobbing for the fall, a gorgeous plant stand, or even a laundry room sink. I'm on a mission to find one, hopefully nearby.
