Weekend Wrap Up: 12.06.15

Happy Sunday!
I hope you all enjoyed #CookieWeek 2015. I also hope you found at least one of the recipes that you can add to your holiday baked goods lineup this year. Any of them would be a good choice, but if you are going for volume, start with the Peanut Butter Chocolate Sandwich Cookies. The recipe produces plenty of treats... plus they are crazy good.

As you might imagine, the days were very full last week. Thankfully, my workload was a little smaller and I was able to deliver on 5 days of recipes.

This week will have me back in the workshop sorting out all sorts of New Years Eve stuff. I have several posts planned for you from appetizers and cocktails to some simple party ideas. Tune in on Tuesday for my first ever Periscope broadcast. We will be making an easy New Years Eve hostess gift. Follow me by my handle, IamSamHenderson, to be notified when I go live.

Rather than give you 4 of my favorite things from the week as usual, I thought it might be better to stick with the #CookieWeek theme and round out the week with 4 of my favorite cookie recipes from prior years. Here they are... in no particular order.

1 Tuxedo Cookies - I still think about these cookies. I haven't made them in a long time, but they are SO good!

2 Gingerbread - I loved doing this shoot. I wanted to make gingerbread but show it in an unexpected way. Not everyone wants gingerbread people.

3 Orange Almond Cookies - If you learned anything from the pignoli post earlier this week, it's that I have a thing for orange and almond together. These little sweet and slightly salty cookies did the trick.

4 Chunky Chocolate Hazelnut Meringues - Yeah... light, crispy, chocolatey, and loaded with hazelnut crunch... these are a sure bet.
